Voting Information

Early Voting will open at the Downtown Chicago Board of Elections “Supersite” at 191 N. Clark Street (intersection of Clark and Lake Streets) on Thursday, February 15^th at 9:00 am. This location is available for all City of Chicago voters to cast their Early Vote.
Early Voting in all 50 Wards of the City of Chicago will begin on Monday, March 4^th.. The list of Early Voting locations in each ward will be updated by the Chicago Board of Elections shortly.
Government-issued photo ID is not required, but ID is helpful if there is a question as to the voter’s registration, address, signature, or if there are two voters at the same address with the same or similar names.
Any voter in Chicago can vote at any Early Voting site, no matter where they live in the City of Chicago. Voters are able to chose whatever voting site is most convenient for them during the Early Vote period as well as the March 19^th Primary Election.

February 8^th, 2024 – First day of mailing for Vote By Mail (VBM) ballots
February 15^th, 2024 – First day of Early Voting in Chicago at the Board of Elections “Supersite” located at 191 N. Clark Street (intersection of Clark and Lake Streets)
February 20^th, 2024 – Last day to register to vote by paper application, with the exception of Grace Period / Same Day Registration
February 21^st, 2024 – Grace Period / Same Day Registration begins
March 3^rd, 2024 – Last day to register to vote by online registration
March 4^th, 2024 – First day of Early Voting in all 50 Wards in Chicago
March 14^th, 2024 – Last day to apply to Vote By Mail (VBM) for the March 19^th, 2024 Primary Election
March 18^th, 2024 – Last day of Early Voting in Chicago. Note – all Early Voting sites will also be open on Election Day as Vote Centers
